Wedding Photojournalism Portfolio
Wedding photojournalism for me is a way of feeling the events you are a witness of, without trying to change the chain of events. The best a photographer can do is be present and have an eye for things that are about to happen and moments as they unfold. Wedding photojournalism shows raw emotion and authentic feelings in the most beautiful way possible. There is something truly special about being so close to people in such emotional and joyous moments. Weddings are truly intricate events that let you immerse into the universe of two people one probably knows little about.
Although I cannot consider myself a true wedding photojournalist, as I also take a lot of posed and creative photographs, I love to let things happen naturally. Wedding photojournalism in Romania has all the advantages one could wish for and then some… We have long, tiresome, stressful days that usually start early in morning, with dozens of people involved and tons of moments to capture. Through a wedding, emotions sometimes explode and things often go unexpectedly wrong. For me, wedding photojournalism is all about being there and being ready, understanding what is happening or what is about to happen before it does. It is an art and a feeling, a vision and a calling…
Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever… It remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.
